Assets

Everything your administration is responsible for, in one place.

Public space, buildings, equipment and vehicles, organised the way you actually are, and maintained by the services that own them.

It is the list your teams pick from every time they record work, which is why it is the part that has to be right.

One inventory instead of one per service

Today the inventory is usually kept service by service, in spreadsheets, with no shared structure and no shared numbering. Nobody can answer what a whole school contains, who looks after a given square, or what a district cost over three years.

In Ordo there is one description, and each service maintains its own part of it. Everyone else reads it.

Public space

Districts, streets, sections of street, squares and addresses. Usually the largest part, and normally loaded from what you already have rather than typed in.

Integrated with BeSt Address so we can download everything in a few minutes.

What is BeSt Address ?

The buildings tree: town hall with its wings, schools and sports halls, with what is open on each

Buildings

A school, a sports hall, a technical depot, a floor of the town hall, one classroom. Each attached to the street it stands on.

Equipment

A slide in a playground, a lift in a school, a fire extinguisher, a road sign, a mower. Each one knows where it is installed, so work on a lift carries the school it is in.

A heater is not a bus shelter

nor is a lift

The information you actually track

A listed building, a pedestrian street, the surface of a playground, the end of a warranty, an asbestos certificate. You declare what matters to you and fill it in where it is relevant, without asking anyone to develop anything.

Three more things worth knowing

Groupings of your own

A school campus spread over three addresses, a sports complex, a maintenance perimeter, a set of assets under one contract. For everything that belongs together without sitting in the same place.

Loaded from what you already have

Ordo produces an import file that matches your own configuration. You fill it, upload it, and your spreadsheets become the inventory.

Create your own structure

Because streets sit inside districts and rooms inside buildings, a question asked about a whole school answers for every room in it, and a question about a district reaches the streets and the buildings on it. Nobody goes room by room.

And all of it sits on a map

What it feeds

The inventory exists so that everything else has something to attach itself to.

Interventions

Any asset shows the requests concerning it, and a new one can be opened from it directly.

Controls and compliance

An asset carries the checks it owes, their expiry dates and the inspections already carried out.

Costs and analytics

An asset shows the hours and materials spent on it, which is how a building ends up with a cost.

Tell us what you look after today

Describe what is in your care and where it currently lives: which spreadsheet, which service, which numbering. We will tell you what loading it involves and what has to be decided first.
